I recently updated Windows 10 to Windows 11 and then did a clean install. After that Minecraft is showing up in the Microsoft Store as previously purchased but showing it's only installable on our Xbox whereas prior to updating to Windows 11 I had it installed on Windows 10. This is definitely the MS Store edition and not Java. Any ideas how I can get it installed on Windows 11 without having to re-purchase for my son?

log into the xbox app with the account used to play, they may be different? My Gaming Account and Main account are not the same I see this every time I refresh/reset/clean my system.

If it's the same account, open the Xbox app and see if its installable from there?

I double checked and it is the same login. I also looked in the Xbox app in Windows 11 and it's not showing there, however is does show on the Xbox.

what does it say in orders in your microsoft account (web)?

Only other thing to do would be to log out of the xbox and store apps, reboot and relogin to see if it's just being weird?

Yeah thats the Windows 10 store web page, but what does your actual account say you have in purchases/subscriptions?

it's has something to do with them moving PC minecraft (play anywhere) to Minecraft for windows 10, for the life of me I can't remember what i did so it shows the windows 10 version for install.....

you could try a store reset with WSreset.exe but I think this MS issue..... Might be worth chasing them down over it. I know they messed up Minecraft purchases when the split Xbox edition and Minecraft Bedrock Xbox and Minecraft and Minecraft for windows 10. I can only assume it has something to do with that, as you Can't purchase "Minecraft" like that anymore. you can't even get to that page without owning it. it goes to either Xbox or Windows 10 edition.

Could be its not even in 11's store other than a bookmark to it.
