Yeah they removed it in 12.8. I couldn't find an explanation as to why. Right click on drive is all that is available. Strange thing to remove. I may also roll back.

After quickly comparing both 12.7 and 12.8 the only options that seem to be removed/missing that were in the Toolbar are the Dynamic Disk option (Important), Reload Disk option, View option (Legend Bar & change Disk Map Location Top/Bottom as all othter functions are seem to be still available either in the left hand menu or Hamburger Menu at Top Right.

Note: I may have missed some Toolbar functions as this was just a really quick comparison. If someone notices other missing functions than please mention them in this thread.

Edit 2: You can also convert a disk to a Dynamic Disk using Windows native Disk Management but uncertain about any Data loss as I've never used that feature in Windows or MiniTool.

Bear in mind dynamic disks are now a deprecated feature and you should not use them any more. They have been superseded by Storage Spaces (iirc).

@cereberus I have also contacted MiniTool support about the removal of the Dynamic Disk option and they informed me that if a user already has a Dynamic Disk present in their system or creates a Dynamic Disk using disk management then the "Dynamic Disk" options should be available under the "Convert Disk" options in the left hand panel, otherwise not visible.

Also my support person at MiniTool forwarded my Feedback to the appropriate team for review and consideration as I also inquired why the removal such an important feature to some was not listed in the release notes and could be restored to the "Convert Disk" options in the left hand panel, Another important feature I hope is not removed in the future contained in the software is the "Convert MBR to GPT" without data loss function.

In the past, I've contacted them, but never received anything more than a message stating that it's been forwarded to our support team.

@Stigg I've had really good luck with MiniTool support in the last year since I bought MiniTool Partition Wizard Ultimate for 5 PC's and had it previously installed on 2 older PC's and a laptop the company states that they will only usually let you transfer the key to a new PC only if the old PC has completely died. I thought I had lost 3 of my 5 activation's as I've had to replace my old Laptop and rebuilt both of my Desktops with new Motherboards and associated parts.

However when I told them that each PC was old and may fail at any time and replacement parts were not available therefore I basically had to build /purchase new PC's they gladly reset my affected 3 used activation's and clarified also how many activation's I have used.

It sounds like you've done well with MiniTool support, @IownAmoneyPit . :clap:

Activations can be another issue with MiniTool. I have read about people's complaints related to activations over the years. I've had activation issues myself with upgrades and clean installations. But once again, no such issue for you.

I made sure to contact MiniTool support and asked them to deactivate the license(s) on my old PC's first before attempting to install and activate on the new PC's so as to avoid and issues, However I have not yet had to deal with a Clean install of Windows and Minitool and support also claims than the software can usually be re-installed and activated without issue on the same PC but we will see how that goes in the future.

I also had to use the above same method for my purchased Aomei Backupper Professional Lifetime licence(s). It all depends on the software transfer rights of the EULA.
