Monitoring downloads of a specific app

Hey guys!
I have a Huawei laptop which has a software to download and update drivers silently. it's called Huawei PC Manager.
Huawei doesn't provide drivers for my laptop and forces users to use PC Manager to download the drivers.
but I want to save and install them offline. Like all other brands which provide offline installation packages for their products.
any recommendations?
I have an idea to monitor internet so I can save every link of installers and then I can download them manually.
or even better, is there any way to find the download directory so I can copy them to another folder?

edit: I know how to backup drivers with DISM, but some drivers like VGA driver have specific apps inside their installation package and DISM method will only copy .inf and .sys files which are not enough for my use.

You have two practical options:

1. Run Huawei PC Manager to download your drivers. After PC Manager is done, export your drivers from Windows to a local folder using DISM /export-driver, PowerShell "Export-WindowsDriver", or pnpuntil.

If Huawei doesn't provide driver files to download, it's unlikely PC Manager is downloading standalone installers for itself.

2. Most PC's use chips provided by another manufacturer. From Device Manager, or DriverStore Explorer, find the actual driver name. Search online if that chip's manufacturer (ie. Intel, Realtek) provides the same driver on their own. Sometimes you can use another OEM's version of the same driver (Dell, HP, Lenovo) which they've repackaged into an installer.

3. After you have the base drivers installed, Windows Update should be attempting to check for newer drivers. PC Manager shouldn't be required, unless Huawei is bundling off-brand (China only) chips in their PC's. Off-brand chips in cheaper Chinese PC's are a headache because these chip companies don't make any effort to publish their drivers online.

2. Unfortunately, this laptop uses some chips which are not common and I can't find their drivers through websites

the only way is to capture the downloaded drivers before PC Manager delete them.

Does their DriverTools utility not work? It's listed as an alternative to PC Manager.

it says, "This tool is unavailable in your country/region".
So, I changed my IP address to New York, Beijing and Moscow to see what happens! not working either ...

should I try changing windows location to China?

Weird, I'm in the same time zone as New York, and I can get it. Maybe try changing your time as well; you can tell someone's not where their IP is supposed to be if their time doesn't match that zone.

I think this tool is not using your device info and only asks you the model of your laptop
can you please choose my laptop model and send me those files?
I know downloading and uploading of those files may be hard for you but I really really need them.

I don't think it cares about the model of my device, because I'm on a Dell. But sorry mate. The tool wants admin rights to install, and I'm not installing something like that on my machines.

Alright!
Solved it

First I found download folder of PC Manager, then changed the permissions of that folder so the “delete” command is denied. PC manager deletes downloaded files after installation. So now it cannot delete them!

I am using Huawei Matebook. Huawei PC Manager needs to install drivers. However, Huawei has another application called "DriverTools_setup.exe". You can select your laptop model and download all drivers from the program.

You should be able to download "DriverTools_setup.exe" program from Huawei support page by selecting your laptop model.

Apart from this, definitely do not use any other driver update program.

As I said, unfortunately after installing this software, it will show a message saying, "This tool is unavailable for your country".
That's why I asked if you could choose my laptop model and upload the entire package for me.
Links are OK and I can download and install this DriverTools_setup but after running it the error appears. even changing IP, DNS, Time zone, Windows default location did not solve my problem.

If you want to view hidden web requests, use a debugging tool like Fiddler Classic. Fiddler creates a local proxy service, and monitors all high-level network traffic sent through the proxy. Unless the Huawai tools are using some proprietary protocol to download files, you should see a set of requested URL's.

I had the same experience of the tool exiting, because I'm in the "wrong region". So I can't perform this task for you.

There is a problem with the drivers downloaded from the amd site. Huawei needs to have compatible Amd drivers.

In other words, the latest up-to-date amd drivers can cause problems on Huawei devices
