So thing is... Unlike many users who have problems with waking up their PC with USB devices this works perfectly well for me. However, I noticed a very weird bug.
If i disconnect my USB hub with mouse and keyboard for a while and connect them back in let say 5 mins or so, they stop responding. No matter if i'm on my desktop or welcome screen - inputs are just not registered. You might think there's a power problem, but no. Devices are lit, and what's more interesting - if i unplug them again i hear the disconnect notification sound from Windows. And when I connect them back i hear the connect notification.. However I just can't type or move mouse.
The worst thing here is that even if i put my PC on sleep with a button, after waking up I still can't use these devices. Plugging them to another ports also doesn't work. So the only solution is to pull out the power cable...
You might say "just don't disconnect them", but thing is - I have another workstation where I use exactly this keyboard and mouse and there's no problem for me to reconnect USB to another PC. What's more interesting, another PC doesn't have this issue after I reinstalled Windows. But this exact PC had the same exact issue when I used the SSD with Windows I'm using now on my main PC. So it's not even hardware related. But both Windows versions on my PCs are identical - latest 24H2 with the latest updates.
I also tried preventing the exact USB hub from going to sleep in device manager, tried different BIOS options like disabling XHCI handoff, Legacy USB support - nothing works. While on my second PC I didn't touch anything. It just works normally out of the box.
Is there something I can do in my registry or anywhere else to avoid clean Windows install?
