Mouse conflict??

I have a Lenovo laptop and a wireless mouse. My mouse is erratic to non-functional after maybe 20 seconds of use. The only way I have found to make it at least FUNCTIONAL is to cntrl-alt-delete it, and then cancel. Then it will work sort of semi-normally for a minute or so ... then it's repeat forever ... unless somebody here has an idea how ro fix it. I have disabled the TouchPad thinking it might be interferring with the mouse signal ... that didn't make much difference at all, but i have left it disabled because I don't really care to ever use a TouchPad. The mouse has a selector switch on the bottom. the choices are BT1, BT2, and 2.4G: They all seem to do nothing as far as this glitch is concerned. TIA. Oh, yeah: I'm an OldFart ... certified. My last computer was a Win7 that I had for probably 16 years or so until it left me high and dry maybe 4 months ago. Windows 11 is, to me, basically JUNK, compared to Windows 7.

I would have thought an OF would be au fait with those symptoms and put in a new mouse battery.

Do you have any peripherals plugged in, such as USB drives exterior hard drives?

Nothing else plugged into the laptop
the battery is fixed and rechargeable ... OF (it doesn't show too bad , does it??)

Did you pair the mouse since it's BT?

The only time my mouse cursor was erratic is when I forgot to turn off the touchpad. The cursor jumped around by itself. When I turned off the touchpad the mouse worked OK.
