I've been dealing with a frustrating mouse issue for a few months now and haven't been able to fix it.
The Problem:
- Left-click failure: The left mouse button randomly stops working.
- Temporary freezes: The mouse cursor regularly freezes or stops responding entirely for a few seconds.
- Window focus lock: The mouse completely stops clicking on other windows, the taskbar, or the Start menu. However, it continues to work perfectly fine inside whatever specific window/app I was using at the exact moment the bug occurred.
What I've tried so far:
- Completely reinstalled Windows (clean install/format).
- Tested with different mice (swapped between two different brands).
- Uninstalled, updated, and reinstalled all kinds of mouse and USB drivers.
System Specs:
- OS: Windows 11
- Mice tested: Havit and Redragon
- CPU: Intel Core i7-12700F
- RAM: 32GB DDR4
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 8GB
- Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD
