Mouse cursor is not behaving properly on Windows 11 25H2

Hi,

I installed Windows 11 25H2, but the mouse cursor is not behaving properly on my Windows 11 laptop.

Sometimes it freezes and refuses to move despite my best efforts. Other times, it becomes super sensitive and jumps around. When trying to select a checkbox, it becomes supersensitive and jumps an inch to the left or right. When a dialog box appears with options for OK and Cancel, trying to click on OK causes it to jump to Cancel, and the Cancel button gets pressed instead.

Also, when trying to move the mouse cursor on the screen, a portion of the computer screen gets selected unintentionally. The view of desktop icons also changes automatically (switching between large, medium, and small) without my intention.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Wired or wireless mouse? If wireless, change the battery. If wireless, test with a wired mouse to see if you see the same issue.

according to the 'My Computer' spec you have posted its a laptop
do you have the touchpad enabled or disabled while using the mouse.

I uninstalled mouse driver, restarted, and now the mouse works properly.
But I want to solve this problem according to the principles of computer science.
One can’t uninstall mouse driver everytime when one faces such problem.

Laptop mouse controlled and used from 4 square inch touchpad on dell laptop.
Touch pad on my laptop can be activated and deactivated using Function key and F5:Fn+F5
Can this problem be solved in the future in other ways.

You can monitor issues on your system using Reliability Monitor.

Right click on Start and select Search.

Enter "reli" (no quotes). The result will show "View reliability history"

Click on Open.
