Movies & TV app no longer opens Videos

I noticed for the past few months that the option of "Movies & TV" disappeared from the Open With context menu for any video file, and I assume the "Microsoft WinRT Storage API" is supposed to be this broken unsupported version of what's left of it? Clicking it simply opens the Movies & TV app and that's it, just the home screen. I have reinstalled many times, repaired, reset, ran powershell commands for fix, still nothing. Did they unplug support for it as a video opening app and fully made it into a movie buying app?

Thanks in advance.

That app is about to be deprecated and will no longer be a part of the installation.

I don't know if that is related to the problem you are having but it might be time to look for alternatives.

Most straight to point answer, thank you, I will.

edit: I only needed it to rotate my video, since any native video app I have on PC can't do it (minus Clipchamp but Clipchamp is an advanced video editor that takes a while to load, a bit too long and is too extensive of an app for me to boot up just to do a mere rotation operation)

yeah sorry I thought I did it before but I deleted my post after trying it. it must have been clipchamp.

Edit: Nope, I am not crazy, It was a thing in the photos legacy app before clipchamp came out.

How to get the old Legacy Photos app?

I just tried using it, and photos legacy was way faster than clipchamp at adding the video in and making the simple change.

You can also use vlc to rotate.

Also if you want movies and tv back, it's still on the store:
