Moving old Win 10 system disk into Win 11 PC as secondary drive

Frankly, I would not use an old HDD in new pc as it is probably over five years old where the failure rates increase significantly (it is russian roulette).

I would by a new HDD (preferebly SSD) and copy data from old pc to new pc. I would put the old drive in a usb enclosure to assist copying, and it can act as a backup as well.

If you do decide to keep old drive, you need to back it up anyway.

You can also buy a SATA to USB converted cable (or enclosure) and connect your old disk to get your data. However, if you want to boot it, you must connect it inside the PC with SATA cable.
