Moving the taskbar setting

I looked at the settings for this but did not see a way to move it. Used to be able to put on side or top or whatever. Thank you.

That was deprecated in Windows 10. There were some workarounds, but Microsoft killed 'em.

I think there are still a couple of workarounds but Microsoft seems to trash them with pretty much every update.

You can move the Start Menu/taskbar to the left from Center, but that's the only thing available so far.

Settings>Personalization>Taskbar Behaviors>Taskbar Alignment>Choose between Left and Center.

That moves the Start Menu and Taskbar from Center to Left or vice versa.

There are still a couple of options But, you'll have to dish out $5.00 bucks.



I use the first option and hide the taskbar from the Settings.

Thanks for that info. I have Stardock for 11 - so with that I can change where taskbar is. I'll check it out.

That change with Win11 seems to be imitating the Mac OS X method of the dock at bottom center of the screen, haven't worked with the new macOS yet. As for imitating, there is at least one version of Linux that appears the same as Mac OS X and Win11.

I tried Start11 and chose the other because it is still buggy.

Well then, enjoy it while you can and me for that matter.
If MS has it's ways, we might not have long before they decide that we
are having it our way.
