Hi,

Just a general enquiry - where in your MS account do you specify where a OTP code is sent when logging on? The reason I ask is that my wife recently upgraded to a W11 laptop as her W10 laptop died and it was sent to an old work account she no longer has access to. It prompted me to look into my MS accounts (I have 2) to see where this is done so I don't get caught out myself in the future.

I'm sure I'm missing the obvious...

TIA

These are the steps for what type of 2FA you use or want to add:

You may also need to check that Microsoft has the number & email correct for texting codes

    …still on a horse.
if a 2FA Authenticator is required there is this one from Proton
which comes under very strict data protection controls and is free
it can be installed on a phone (iPhone or Android) or a computer.

and from Google play store

i pay for and use Proton VPN which i have found to very good.
best of luck, Steve ..
