MS Money - continues to work

Just updated MS Money data and realised the data is complete back to when I started to use MS Money at the beginning of January 1994. So over 32 years of financial data for more than 60 accounts over the years in a 36MB file. And it keeps working. Why change when it works

Same for me. I have many accounts and transactions going back 30 years and the money file size in only 32 MB. I've found no better program. All works fine and the ability to export reports and other data to Excel is useful forrfurther analysis.

I think the answer is in the name of the software itself "MONEY" !!!!! especially with the almost universally loathed subscription things (Office/365 for example). A lot of software is just over bloated and ridden with features people rarely use and didn't want in the first place -- Most things for normal users work perfectly even today in Office 2010 or even earlier and for email the simplicity and flexibilty of Outlook Express included up to Windows XP was fine .

Particularly annoying are those new "paid for" apps where the navigation is rubbish -- what's wrong in most cases with a simple BACK button to the screen you were at before -- or if a financial transaction with security involved the back button should yield a message from the original url requesting you to sign in again etc and as for those that are "part free" where the bits you invariably want are the "paid for" bits when the previous version was 100% free -- or nags from apps asking you "to go pro" --invariably means PAY.

I'm NOT against paid apps if they do the job efficiently and better than any free ones - but start straight away up front - state the cost, allow possibly a trial (OF THE WHOLE THING not just bits of it).
