My apology if I posted in the wrong section.

Issue :
MS Surface Pro 5 plugin but not charging.

I googled and tried this.....
Device Manager >double click at Batteries >double click at Microsoft Surface ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery> Driver > Uninstall > confirm "Yes" > Restart.

The system did automatically reinstall the driver, but no help to fix the "plugin but not charging" issue.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

Adding : the charge cable and charger did work before.

No idea what has happened.
The system is now charging.
I checked the power % and it was at 36% AND charging.
Does the system require the power to go down to certain % before it will start charging?
Well. at least it is now charging.

After this is fully charged, I'll wait till it is at ,say, 75%. Then I'll plug it in and see if it will start charging.

Is the plug the usual round type or the newer USB Type-C that can also be a charging cord/port? I have a Dell Latitude Notebook that uses the Type-C and seems the plug may be directional, wouldn't show as plugged in but removing and plugging turned around worked.

This might be because the battery was mostly full, or because of a simple timeout buried somewhere. Glad you got it.

None of the above.
MS Surface has its own proprietary charger.

The battery was below 60% before I tried but failed to charge.
