Have a look under File- options (at the bottom)- quick access tool bar, there's an option to reset all customizations

I got it with hit and miss. Changed from Web to Print layout and now page numbering showed up, added and now with word count is showing page numbers.

1 thing I messed up changed to read mode, now the top edit bar disappears have to click on the 3 dots to show up, how can I reverse it, as was default.

How to reverse from Read mode back to default?

Page numbering/option shows only with Print layout and not Web as was in my case.

I was but happened to correct it to default with the top custom edit bar. Page nos only show up in print layout and not in web.

You can view individual pages in web layout with the navigation pane
