windows 11 home version
Hi, im really confused about browsers , firstly on start up i sign onto google chrome and it opens up on a specific page for my emails , i have bing at the bottom of the PC ,) Google appears i dont sign onto this its just appears sometimes , microsoft edge which i disabled with the help of this forum ,i think it is google chrome that says it is managed ive tried everyway to fix this as i did not set this up ,ive asked for advice on here and was explained why it has happened. but would like to get rid of it ..i use saved passwords but sometimes i can only see a couple , then have to try another browser to get the rest ,.i never had this trouble with other windows OS also i like to clear browsing history so the pc dont get clogged up and shut i down with AVG , GLARY utilities and CC cleaner i only use for online shopping etc and there is only me that uses it, years ago i used to use pitstop. sorry for the long query thanks for reading . The basic issue I have with Chrome is that anytime one does a Search with Google one does get things not wanted. To that end I use www.duckduckgo.com, set Firefox options [Tools, Settings] to unselect other search engines.

If Chrome says 'Managed by your organization' then you have at least one GPO (if you're on a pro license) or a policy defined in registry here HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome or the equivalent user registry path

If this means that you are automatically signed in to Google once you have signed into Chrome then, you probably
are signed in on youtube as well. I have a Gmail account and when I sign in to Gmail, I am also signed into Google
and youtube. They are all related to Google. Chrome is Google's browser. Youtube is also part of Google. IF you
sign out of Chrome then, you are automatically signed out of all Google's apps.

Now, it is not a good idea to have your passwords saved in your browser. It would be so easy for a hacker to get
past the browser's security and get to your passwords. Pls, save your passwords Off your PC/notebook.

The Group Policy Editor is part of the Pro version of Windows, not the Home version. All editions of Windows have the Registry which is what Windows uses to know how to run things.

What I do is open a notepad and write the passwords on it (I usually have 12 to 16 character password).
Save the notepad to a USB drive. When I'm done, I disconnect the drive and no password on the PC/notebook.

In my case I removed everything and downloaded new win 11 from Microsoft direct (Cloud). You cab reset the computer keeping personal files but all, or nearly, all none win apps apps you have to reinstall. But I was having shed loads of problems so decided a totally clean install. What you can do is, if you have a decent external drive, is download all your personal stuff to that including your downloads folder. Save a lot of reinstalling later. I am not one of the expert people in here, but I do learn from therm. I too was a big fan of IE11. The demi gods (devils) in MS decided I sould not have the fun and now its Edge torture which I want to remove but someone in here said no, you cant.
