Not so terrible on that system. I've seen sometimes where it gets out of control.

The five 8TB drives and three 512GB SSDs are part of a DrivePool using StableBit DrivePool software. The three SSDs are devoted purely to caching for the 8TB drives. All of the important data is stored in triplicate so that I can withstand simultaneous failure of 2 disks.

For sure at this point I'd be saving any data on that drive to an alternate source!

What is the exact make/model of this drive?

If you open Disk Management, and click on Volumes, what do you see?

Here's what one of mine looks like, this is a 2TB SSD.

I found an X15 folder on the drive. In properties it says empty but when I check there is 600gb in it! Is it ok to delete this folder?

Right click on the folder and verify if it shows up as truly empty.

Did you turn on show hidden and system files to see if anything is in that folder?

Set these options this way and see if anything shows up in that folder. Don't forget to hide protected O/S files after you're done.

It's all backup bits of files. No system files. I'm guessing it was created when I was trying to re-index the folder but it said 0bytes before.

Right-clicked on properties and there was 600gb.

If you don't recognize the data, I'd delete it. After all, this isn't an O/S drive, so all that stuff is yours.
