My final decision on Win11

I still use 7, and I'll continue to run 10 as well. Win 11 is only a seldom used option at this point.
I like 10 after many years it's near perfect for me. problem with 7 is the security updates have now stopped as it's no longer supported

Both of my computers will stay on Windows 10, later on I'll buy a PC that has Windows 11 installed and move on but for now what I got is good enough.

That sounds good, many people I am sure have a Win10 pc that is working well and set up just the way they want it but have to jump on the Win11 bandwagon and swap all that for a new buggy OS just because it's new. My main PC came with Win 10 installed it took me ages to get it exactly how I want it, so it stays on Win 10. In a few months many more things will be sorted in !! and customisation programs/ tweaks will appear.

Yeah, I don't see the need to jump on the Windows 11 bandwagon just yet, Windows 10 is supported till October 2025 and I can always use Windows 11 in a VM to learn the features and experiment if needed.

I am sure 10 will be supported long after 2025 Win 7 went on for years ( unless they bring out Win 12 to make more money :ROFLMAO: )

I have an old pc like that, I use it for testing Win 10 stuff so it doesn't muck up my main pc. I did try it on 11 but it was really sluggish that was because of the 7th gen processor, so best left on 10 where it works well.

I have been using Windows 11 since the big "leak", have no plans on going back. I still boot windows 10 as the mail, do most of my gaming on Win11 though. I luckily bought a Ryzen 9 3900X, before the chip shortage, for just over 350USD. Is has the required TPM aboard. I am using my Gigabyte 370 Gaming 5 as the VPM has enough umph to power the new chip. I have windows 10, windows 11, and a new install of windows 10 on a third M.2 in case the update to W11 on my mail Windows 10 breaks goes bad.

Cheers,

Ray

Hi,
No upgrading
Only one machine I might install 11 on seeing I have a spare 10 pro key doing nothing but no time soon maybe near the end of the year when tutorials get more released to turn on or off the bs and also add to the silly context menus ms seems to have totally messed up on 11.

Choices had been made since W11 start shaking the tree.
I built new decent system that cost me $850 for the sake of it. Why would a retired man come to that given decision? I got an easy answer, just need some fun exploring all new stuffs with Windows. Luckily my 4 kids have grown enough, they have no objection at all, they even supported me.
I still have an old rig that has its beauty with W10 21H1. A nearly perfect OS to me. Still also keep an old laptop with Linuxmint, and one MacBook pro. I see it as a complete fun. Woodworking hobby at daytime, staring at OS at night, visit my 5 grandkids sometimes or they just come over the house.
How that sounds.
