Ethernet drivers don't normally need a reboot. You'll be prompted if necessary.
After you've extracted the zip archive containing the driver, use Device Manager and browse to where it is saved.

In Device Manager, click the arrow next to Network Adapters, right click on the Ethernet controller that you want to update and select Update Driver. Click on Browse my computer for drivers, then click the Browse button. Leave the tick in Include Subfolders.

Edit:
If you'd like to automate it, you can use Snappy Driver Installer Origin. But it's the same driver. I think it would be quicker and easier for you to just download the driver and install it manually. If Snappy Driver Installer Origin was already installed and up to date, then Snappy would be easier.

I have fixed this problem , thanks all who contributed. Followed Point 2 "On Your PC" entered those commands in CMD prompt as Administrator in their order then uninstalled the ethernet controller from Device Manager and rebooted.

Not sure what you mean by "latest update" I have not installed any Killer Suite that was on the MS Store or any other monitoring or "boost" software that is associated with this controller. I did update the driver from this thread as per one of the post 14/1/2020 Rivet Networks 9.0.0.50 is my driver version. The previous one was from 2015. Someone posted the MS Driver Catalogue with the links.

I did initially during my troubleshooting install the following

However I have since uninstalled it as it didn't fix my problem and posters were saying it degrades your connection speed.

That's a common message in Windows when Device Manage looks for an updated driver. If you had followed my instructions properly, you shouldn't have gotten that message, but I'm glad your issue is sorted.


The other option is to go; Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer, then click Have Disk, then click Browse.

Yeah finally I went to my motherboard support. Found there the driver version you have. Working now on 24h2.
