My pc won't run when I activate virtual machine platform

Hi everyone,

I've been having issues with my laptop, I need to install WSA, I already have my virtualization on in BIOS but when I turn on Virtual machine Platform and It restarts then it won't turn the screen on or won´t start windows these are the data of y laptop

I'll admit that I do not know for sure what is happening in your case, but here are a few things to try:

1) In Control panel, turn off Fast Startup. Note that this is Windows Fast Startup, not a BIOS setting related to fast startup.



2) Make sure that you are using the version of the display driver from ASUS, and not a generic driver from AMD. NOTE: This does not apply for a separate GPU, this applies only to the built-in CPU graphics.

Often, when I hear that the screen will not come on the problem is one of these two items.

Please also let us know how much RAM you assigned to the VM.

I have Asus M/B with Intel VT technology. I have 16 GB total RAM. VM is allocated 6 GB RAM. Windows in Hyper-V runs perfectly well.

I have Windows 11 24H2 in my Hyper-V (2nd Generation) and the following items are checked in Add/Remove Windows Features console related to Hyper-V.

Hyper-V: Checked

Virtual Machine Platform: Not checked

Windows Hyper Management Platform: Not checked



If you wish to run other OS, such as Android, you may have to check other checkboxes.

WSA is deprecated now unless you mean WSL as they are two totally different things.
