Need help to install Windows 11 without TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot

One of my friends gave me a custom Windows 11 ISO to bypass Windows 11 system requirements and it worked like charm on two very old ThinPad laptops, date back to 2012 models. I guess the ISO has some modification in Registry to circumvent the requirements. However, When I run the in-place upgrade this time on a Windows 10 Pro PC, it says:

This PC does not currently meet Windows 11 system requirements. Here is why: The PC must have TPM 2.0

Is there any way to help me install Windows 11 without TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot on an unsupported PC?

It is a quit old device from 2017. Besides the lack of TPM 2.0, the CPU (AMD Ryzen 5 1500X) is not supported too. All Ryzen 1000 series are not supported by Windows 11 officially. You can make a bootable USB from Windows 11 ISO and clean install Windows 11 from USB. After that, open the Registry editor and add the following entries to bypass Windows 11 system requirements and install Windows 11 without TPM and Secure Boot.

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\MoSetup. Right-click in the right pane, select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value, and enter the following text as the name:

AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU

Double-click the "AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU" value here, set it to "1", and click "OK."

When downloading the Windows 11 ISO, always get it straight from Microsoft to avoid any sketchy versions. To install Windows 11 without TPM 2.0, you'll likely need to tweak your registry. I saw this tech community post a few days ago when I was trying to upgrade my dad's unsupported PC from 23H2 to the latest 24H2. The device is running with an Intel i5 6th Gen but no TPM and Secure Boot. The WinBootMate app worked perfectly for me. I suggest giving it a try if other methods failed to help you install Windows 11 on unsupported PC without TPM 2.0. I suspect some of the well-known method don't work with 24H2 ISO.

P.S. Make sure using a fast USB 3.0 or above to save time.

I just upgraded a non-compliant PC from 23H2 to 24H2 using the official MS 24H2 ISO file, mounting it then running the command setup.exe /product server

As simple as it gets: Download the official Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft and latest Rufus. Plug a USB flash drive (data will be wiped) and load Rufus. Open the ISO from Rufus and select the USB. Click to start. Rufus detects the ISO is a Windows 11 one and offers to bypass compatibility check. Check the first box and any other you want. Proceed to create the USB. Disconnected from the internet (unplug LAN cable or switch off WiFi). Run Setup from USB and wait to finish before connecting to the internet again. That's it.

Not perfect guide. You better read the relevant posts in the sticky thread "Let's install Windows 11 on unsupported computers". It states that unsupported computers cannot be upgraded from one version of Windows 11 to the other. Wrong, of course they can with the appropriate bypass compatibility check methods. The easiest is to create a patched USB flash drive with Rufus.

Just create a boot USB with Rufus (and appropriate settings) and a Win 11 ISO downloaded from Microsoft. Simple. Easy. No registry tweaking et al needed.

None of the updates in Update History can be uninstalled, not only the cumulative updates. If you search for Control Panel and open it, change from groups to large icons and then click on Programs and Features. From there click View installed updates. This opens Settings -> Windows Updates -> Uninstall Updates (not accessible directly through Settings) but lets you uninstall only few specific updates, not the cumulative updates, no driver updates or anything else. If you are lucky enough that System Restore was enabled and created a system restore point before installing the cumulative update, you can go back there and then block the cumulative update before it is installed using Windows Update Show/Hide Tool or Windows Automatic Updates Manager (WAU Manager). Run Setup from the USB to upgrade, but disconnect from the internet during the whole process. For my experience with many unsupported computers 23H2 fails at 70-75% of first stage (before even the first restart) if you are connected. I don't think 24H2 is any different, so you better upgrade offline.

I have bypassed CPU, TMP, RAM and Secure Boot check. Nothing changes, you cannot uninstall cumulative updates from there. Probably using Revo Uninstaller, haven't checked.

This method does work for most . Just did an old 2014 HP laptop that started with Win 8.1 . I upgraded to Win 10 and then not too long ago to Win 11 . This has unsupported CPU and no TPM . The upgrades went fine albeit it was a slow process which took about 2 hours . Only 8 gig of ram and runs on a HDD . 24H2 loaded right up though with no errors and nothing showing in device manager that it wasnt working correctly . Only had it on the laptop a few hours but so far see no glitches on a 12 year old computer with no TPM or a supported CPU .
