Need to reconnect usb cable for Steelseries Rival 3 (mouse) sometimes. Can it be related to usb port/motherboard problems, even if it's OK in device manager? It's a TUF GAMING B760-PLUS WIFI. Didn't found so much in the event log.
My old Steelseries Rival 3 wireless got broken and I got a new one (havn't started using it yet) so maybe it was that device that had the problem earlier. Now I'm using a Rival 3 without wireless but it was "dead" after a desktop wake up - so I had to reconnect the usb cable.
Also my Steelseries Transceiver got really weird a couple of times. It’s connected with usb and it got solved with reconnecting the cable.
Firmware for mouse is updated and bios as well, after the problem.
The main issues I've seen with USB is the power options settings and whether USB 2 devices are plugged into USB 2 ports rather than USB 3 ports such as older printers that came designated for USB 2 setups.
It depends on your power management settings in device manager of both the mouse and the usb controller the mouse is using. Example of mine. I want my mouse to always wake the computer but I found it would not do that if I allowed sleep to shut off power to the controller it's using.
Still problem with the display for the Steelseries transceiver. Maybe I should check with Steelseries and make a rma. I have already done this before and perhaps it's another root cause? No problem with the mouse so far.
There is several other usb devices that has the setting "allow the computer to turn off this device.." -like generic superspeed usb hub and generic usb hub.
