NET Framework 3.5 4.8.1 Windows 11 v.23H2 for x64

I've seen quite a few similar posts on this update and similar.
But I can't find any solutions.

Basically I installed this update months ago.

Then installed it again.

And again.
And again.

I'm now being prompted to do it again.

I could really do without this update slugging my PC on a regular basis.
How do I make it install then go away.
Or simply go away.

What's the KB #?
There are ways to reset the WU components if you haven't done so yet.

This is to be expected. New Updates for "Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11" are released every 1-2 months.

You can find the release history listed on the left hand side:
