Never Seen Before

I got the HP driver on my boot USB and tried installing both of the two drivers listed and neither attempt finished after 10 minutes of waiting

I am working on a HP now. Dell was my last issue that was similar. What are you calling a "simple pe"?

They are intel drivers. Therefore they should in theory work for all intel 11,12,13 gen machines hp, acer, whatever.

I havent got anything to test them on. Try it and find out.

From what I read
It used to be the 18 series irst drivers worked for 11th gen
19 series worked for 12th gen
now supposedly the 20 series work for 11 and 12 and 13th gen. Something like that.

Please, what is a "simple pe"? Just drivers pre-loaded on a boot USB?

One common thing with both the Dell and now the HP is they both use Intel Optane. I have very little experience with these PVIe, M.2, Mandy drives. I tried a WD SN580 PCIe NVMe in this machine and couldn't get beyond a black screen.

It is boot media

That one is made from the most recent winre.wim with a few tools and drivers added . Plus a little menu to launch the tools.

You can see them in the screenshots in my previous post liked below

PE refers to the tiny version of windows that MS provides which loads into ram when booted. It can be called winpe.wim or boot.wim or winre.wim or any other names depending on what tools etc ms or somebody else has added.

If you have a look you will see what I have called it. I have lots of these things so It is easier for me to know which is which

Any idea why the onboard WinRE is not functional. Usually after a few reboot I could drop into that and see the main system drive

Could be the bcd recovery sequence hasnt been set up or is pointing the wrong way.

I have a vague idea there is ( or was) a way to set it up from outside e.g. another os or booted pe media. Using reagentc.exe and the os guid. But I cant remember the exact commands.

Well THANK YOU for enlightening me.
These issues seem to involve 24H2 and Intel Optane drives. Neither machine would get to anything but black screen when I tried a WesternDigital PCIe SSD installed. Would spin a fan then stop.
