New Dell AIO PC-?

I am going to buy a new DELL AIO PC Dell 27 EC27250 27-SKU EC27250 _RPLU-R_003
1TB SSD
16GB DDR5 Memory
NVidia Graphics
Win 1 Pro/

Theres another 27 Inch with 2TB SSD & 32 GB DDR5 memory, but it has Win 10 Home which I don''t want.

Is there any reason I should rather buy something else rather than this-?

For the Price , it is a good buy , you can always upgrade to Win 11 Pro on the second choice.

I'm curious what your second model refers to. A refurb? Old new stock? The AIOs on Dell's web site all seem to come with Windows 11.

PCs with 8th gen Intel CPUS or newer can usually be updated to Windows 11 for free.

I had to pay to get a an Intel i9 upgraded.

I haven't done such an upgrade recently.

However, AFAIK, it's still free. Upgrade to Windows 11: FAQ - Microsoft Support

I can't explain why you "had to pay". Others in this forum know a great deal more about Windows licensing than I ever will. But this thread may not attract much interest; the original post didn't give enough information.

BTW, an I9 (like my I9-13900K) is a class of CPU, not a generation. The I9-13900K is 13th gen.

Windows 11 Pro product key isn't available

Select Start and then select Settings > System > Activation .

Open Activation settings

Expand Upgrade your edition of Windows by selecting it.

Note: If Upgrade your edition of Windows isn't available, the edition of Windows 11 might already be at Pro, or edition upgrade might not be available.

Next to Upgrade in the Microsoft app under the Upgrade your edition of Windows section, select the Open Store button.

When the Microsoft Store app opens, follow the instructions to upgrade to the Pro edition of Windows 11, making sure you're signed in with your Microsoft account when purchasing Windows 11 Pro.

After confirming your purchase, you'll be prompted to install Windows 11 Pro and restart your Windows device.

I never bothered to check the Windows store method. I was on an OEM so maybe that was why? It's too late now..

The question is about a NEW 2026 PC at WIN 11 PRO as sold new, there's no old one upgraded, its suppose to be brand new 2026.

The one I would like however has WIN 11 Home installed. Dell has not this one on offer as with WIN 11 Pro.

So it was a typo, really 11 Home?

You can edit posts to fix things like that.

There are cheap 11 Pro OEM licenses available online. (Example: www.guru3d.com. Not a piratical site.) Whether you can use such a key to upgrade a Home Version, I'm not sure, but I believe that it works.

Buy the one you would like and then buy a Win 11 Pro license. It cost only $12.97
