.37 went as smooth as could be. I renamed dxgi.dll, ran setup and it just worked the only thing was I had to go to missing icons and disable the battery icon as I had that and battery mode showing. spot on

Next, I simply retried the installer (I didn't do anything else) and then it just worked. Finally, I restored my Taskbar Toolbars and I manually deleted the old dxgio.dll file from my C:\Windows folder. My tray icons were shuffled but none of them were missing, and, I had to go into my tray icons settings to hide the Power icon of Windows because I use the Power icon from Battery Mode instead.

@hdmi I still had my digio.dll and it installed first time for me, I haven't done the other machines yet so fingers crossed

Just Noticed the.37 installs dxgi.dll but also I guess the old version as dxgi.prev

I noticed that when I right click on the taskbar on the quick launch side with .37, properties don't work. Works on the other side.

The last version which is installed automatically after setup completed is 22000.318.37.1, backup of previous DLL is stored as dxgi.prev. Sorry, my knowledge of Win32 API is not enough good to understand what exactly was changes and fixed, even though the source codes and changelog are available. But at least it works again in Windows 11 .346 without any noticeable problem!

Latest is now 37.1
Change log is the same as 37.0
I think the fix is the properties not working when right clicking on the quick launch bar. He told me he found the issue and would fix it.
I'll test in a bit.

EDIT: Oops no, it doesn't work on an empty space that is directly below a Toolbar. This is regardless of what is the location of the Toolbar in question.

Yeah, I have a toolbar on either side of my 'pinned apps' area. They both have the same problem you describe.

New version: 22000.318.37.2
The settings window now correctly opens when you right-click on an empty space below the icons on a Taskbar Toolbar and select Properties. :)

Nice! I also asked if the toolbar could be persevered after updating. I had to re-add on after symbols download on older version. And add again after the setup versions. Then rearrange the icons.
He said this:
"Yeah, idk, toolbars are not really supported since Windows 7, it's not the only problem that they have. Things like this may happen; it's fine on the computers where I test them, but yeah, idk..."

So I just installed 37.2 from the EP update menu. Toolbar is still there. Just quick explorer restart. Great! Noting to fix. Love this update method!
It only happened on older version and the first time I used the setup version.

I think I shall change the updates to off as mine is set up perfectly and I don't want some update to come along and muck it up. I can always leave the other machine on the default and see what that behaves like before I decide. Originally when I started this thread, all I wanted was the old context menu and old taskbar back, which I have got.

2 updates today. Fast and easy!
Always have an image JIC.
I can backup a 28.7GB windows 11 partition in 29 seconds while in windows. About 3 min. to restore while booted to another partition. Or, I can I can select restore E: Win11 while booted to E: and it will restore during boot. And it is a portable app single exe. And it fits on a floppy. 346KB Can your backup app do all that?
