22621.1343 broke all the taskbar progs it seems including EP
I believe this is a release preview build and EP normally only works with release builds as it is a lot of extra work changing things for new builds, so lets hope it is ironed on before the full version is released

Two Issues with PatchExplorer - File Explorer

Sometimes
File Explorer displays the old-fashioned "white" drop-down menus (see attached screenshot). This only happens when using PatchExplorer. Closing and reopening the File Explorer window will make it go away. (See attached screenshot)

Sometimes, File Explorer will not display anything where the Win11 Ribbon Toolbar should be. This only happens when using PatchExplorer. Closing and reopening the File Explorer window will make it go away.
(See attached screenshot)

Are there any settings that could prevent this from happening?

Basically what happens is that explorer.exe just keeps crashing over and over again in an endless circle

Can anyone confirm that the above 2 issues are normal? They are relatively minor cosmetic issues; and, happen intermittently. Is there anything I can try to prevent that from happening?

I do that even if EP eventually ends up not being continued that at least someone can compile SWS so I can use it without EP :D

Unfortunately, I'm not okay without it. Windows 11 taskbar is too thick IMO. Even when I use the registry setting to make the taskbar thin again, taskbar icons and system tray time/date aren't displayed correctly. If Microsoft fixes this, I can use Win11 without EP and still be happy.

I don't think that will happen as *Most users don't even know about the registry stuff. Microsoft doesn't want people toying around but... We do lol

Installed the cumulative update (KB5022913) a couple hours ago. After installing and restarting the computer, I've learned that ExplorerPatcher crashes when you right click on the task bar. Anyone else experience this issue?

ExplorerPatcher version: 22621.819.52.2

Thanks

Yep, I as far as I can see EP is not compatable with KB5022913. After installing the update I developed the explorer crashing loop. Completely not usable. I had to do a restore from a prior windows image

IMO it's worth paying for StartAllBack. It just works (and I did test it today on 22621.1344).

Alas, I shall try something different. I've never experimented with StartAllBack. Time to see what it is all about.

Tip: The StartAllBack controls can be found in Control Panel. The first time I installed StartAllBack I was searching all over the place for the GUI until I found it there.
