I use it because I do not like windows11 File Explorer, so I keep the Windows 10 Style, but that date style I never used.
Actually, I didn't even knew it existed until now that I had this problem.

Does anyone knows if there is away to install this baby without losing everything, like normal windows does, you can keep files and applications.
I want to get rid off the regular windows 11 permanently, but if I can't keep what I need to keep i guess then this deal is off.
Have been trying, but I couldn't figure this out by my self yet!

unfortunately, only fresh install. you could throw everything you need on a thumb drive and add back to new install, if that could work.

This method will only work for personal items but not for applications (have many, it will take three or four days to normalize it) and it will happens every-time that you have will have to reinstall it.
It is very long time to rebuild it... But I wonder (why) X-Lite are build this way?
Maybe I will need to find a way to talk to this guy about it!

I haven't had the need to try the 'normal' standalone Windows upgrade process on an X-Lite installation but, unless the Developer has 'crippled' the normal Windows installation process beyond taking action to prevent the installation/activation of certain standard Windows features, it should still be possible to mount the Optimum 11 (24H2) ISO on an existing (23H2) system using the Windows File Manager. Then running the "Setup.exe" file should eventually bring up the up the "Keep User Programs and Data?" options screen, as with a 'repair install', before the stage at which the user is asked to confirm that the upgrade should proceed.

The usual pre-upgrade System Backup warnings obviously still apply ;-)
