Solved No 22H2 offered for 2023 OLED Vivobook K3502Z S series 12th Gen. i7

I am very disappointed with the W11 Home version 21H2 installed by ASUS Philippines in March 2023. I migrated from my old Acer a515-54G 2019 W10 that I upgraded to W11 22H2 and has a far more advanced OS than this (expensive) ASUS. I suspect that the LPDDRs (RAM) and Intel's EVO are not compatible with 22H2. Not a peep from ASUS Support (I have 2 years warranty). I don't want to force 22H2 with an ISO image till I find out what is not compatible, 400GB free storage space and no bloatware, uninstalled all McAfee programs. Not yet checked BIOS. Any suggestions?

The RAM type has nothing to do with it. Nor does a CPU being EVO certified.

However, the most likely issue is that you do not have a discreet TPM, but that your system has a firmware TPM. Make sure to enable that in the BIOS if it is disabled. A firmware TPM is fully supported, it simply needs to be enabled.

If possible, could you post the model number of the ASUS system in question? would like to lookup the system details and see if I can possibly offer further suggestions.

Sorry, you posted the ASUS model number in the title. Don't know how I missed that. Let do some research....

So, that system is fully Windows 11 compatible.

Make sure that you have the latest BIOS update installed on the system. Also, as noted before, make sure that the TPM or Firmware TPM is enabled in the BIOS. On my motherboard ASUS lists this as "Firmware TPM", but you may also see reference to "Intel PTT" (Platform Trust Technology).

I don't know anything about Microsoft's 22H2 rollout schedule for the Philippines. Seems like everyone should have been offered the update by now, but I don't know that.

"Evo" is basically a marketing tool. Nothing special about the hardware. LPDDR is normal, too.

As far as I know, there have been no changes in the hardware requirements for any version of Windows 11, as compared to 11's initial release.

A semi-random thought: check Device Security. (Quick way: type Device Security into the search box.) Does it show your laptop as meeting the requirements? (It has all the physical requirements, but it's possible that something isn't enabled in the BIOS settings. I doubt it, but it's not impossible.)

Driver issues could prevent enabling Core Isolation, but that is not mandatory for 11.

You find 22H2 to be much more advanced than 21H2? I don't recall a vast improvement.

I suggest that you proceed with the upgrade from a downloaded ISO. However, I strongly recommend that you image the existing OS drive partition first. If you don't have that capability now, you should acquire it.

Now that you have it, make a full disk image backup
