No AI Overview showing on Edge running Windows 11 desktop?

I recently noticed that this AI Overview feature appears after searching from my Google search engine using Chrome on Android and in Safari on my iPhone but not on Edge browser running Windows 11 Pro 24H2.

I also use Google search engine for Edge on my Windows 11 machine.

What settings should I check?

The attached image are from my mobile phone running Android.

Might be on purpose, Microsoft hates competition and may be being sneakily wanting users to utilise Bing search and it’s AI. Or Copilot?
I don’t use Edge but I just checked it.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t

I typed in How to turn Google AI Overview in Edge and it gave me an AI overview, but it said nothing that wan’t obvious.
Try using the URL Bar to Search or if that’s how you use it already, try the Google search bar on the Google Search page, is there a difference?

In the url bar, type “edge://flags”
Check for any relevant flags that might control AI features or search suggestions. Might take a while and patience reading.
In Edge settings where you selected Google as your defauLt search engine, make sure there aren’t any other settings related to it.
Check Edge settings for any relevant privacy settings?

I use the address bar for Google searches and doesn't appear. I will check the Edge flags as well.

However, in Edge, I only have Search suggestions from only history and favorites only. The other search suggestion right on top of it is toggled off.

It depends on what you ask Google in Edge as to whether you get an AI Overview or search suggestions.

For instance, when I input "Who is the pope of the Catholic church?", Google in Edge returns a Wikipedia entry with the answer followed by links to web pages.

When I input "Describe the conclave" in Edge using Google, it returns an AI summary of the conclave followed by a list of web pages.

So, play with your search terms to see if that makes a difference.
