No Windows Internet Connection


Starting tomorrow I will be travelling. We'll see how my workstation behaves in other cities and on other networks. All the best to you for being so patient with me. Enjoy the rest of your Summer if you are in the northern hemisphere. Enjoy the rest of your Winter if you are south of the equator.

At the airport using their WiFi does not change my real workstation behaviour. However, it does affect virtual machines such that they now behave like the real machine with limited accessibility.

Here is an update on my long-running thread. I am still travelling. Meanwhile, despite the connection issue, I have settled into a quieter version of Windows. All of my work continues unabated. At the end of October, I will assess whether to continue or correct the issue. Meanwhile, here is a song from a Canadian singer-songwriter whom you may know.

No worries, thanks. I have multiple backups including additional workstations on my network which all work perfectly. This one case I am treating as a curious anomaly. Perhaps I may publish an educational article.
