Solved Notepad++

I have Windows 11 x64. Since this update, Notepad (Text doc), upon opening, it opens more than one tab. It open 2 or more. The more you open the more tabs it creates. This behaviour is very strange. I had to go to Apps and Uninstall it.
Upon rebooting it went back to the previous version of Notepad (Text doc) with highlighted in yellow at the top; "A new version of Notepad is available. {Install}", At least it works properly with only opening one at a time.
Hope a fix is not too far away.

Notepad++ is absolutely the most sophisticated, highly configurable, actively developed Editor on the planet!
And..., it's absolutely free! That's dedication!

I have been using it for years.

yeah, i use notepad++ and visual studio code (in my opinion one of the best pieces of software MS has ever put out). And both are free.

Actually, I have a mess of approved apps, but, many only do one little that I appreciate!

I'd rather have a hundred apps that do one thing and do it well, than have one convoluted program that does a bazillion things I don't need!
