We may hope that nVidia will choose a different path for distributing their CP if MS goes nuts with their Store.

I wonder what would happen if MS ever put Windows on a subscription-only basis?

It is, distro dependent.
Use DDU in safe mode without networking to remove all Nvidia driver components. Use DISM/ PowerShell to remove Nvidia control panel.
If you want to install older Nvidia drivers download the package before safe mode DDU, after DDU restart with out networking still (turn off router) and install the driver package you downloaded.
If Windows tries to upgrade the Nvidia drivers once networking is back on you will need to turn off automatic driver installs.
There are tutorials on these forums for all these steps.

What is your monitor? The one in "My Computer" is a Samsung F27G3T. Native resolution 1080p (1920 X 1080).

The only monitor drivers I see on the Web for it are these: Drivers. I believe this if from Hong Kong, but I doubt there are any issues with other countries.

I suppose that this may not be the monitor, though, based on your remarks in a different thread. You have a UHD (2160p) monitor?

thats my monitor yes. There appears to be conflicts within the software. My Pictures folder has just changed to the Photoshop logo again. It wont let me changew drive lettters, I seem to be spending most of my time searching for different answers for different things, couple that with a fading memory status, and I am very frustrated.
