I often get blocked by Cloudflare when using the Edge browser. Is there any way of blocking or bypassing this?

Thank you.

Using any Ad Blockers or Extensions?
Try disabling those then try the sites.
Another option is open a private window Ctrl+Shift+N
If the site loads in a private window then you could have a corrupted cache or a specific browser extension issue.

Are there any specific sites you can share that are doing this, and do you use a VPN when accessing them?

Various sites, VPN helps sometimes.
what with cloudfare, caphcas and checking I'm not a Bot, it's a real pain sometimes, phone is worse with Not a Bot & one time passcodes etc. used to be so much easier...

Without those bot checks, those sites wouldn’t be running—they’d be swamped with AI bots consuming every bit of information available. Most of my sites have spent the majority of today behind a Cloudflare check as bot traffic has reached unsustainable levels, and I know nearly every other site owner with a decent amount of content is dealing with the same issue.

That’s why you’re seeing all the checks online right now. To avoid getting blocked, it’s better to stay off VPNs since site owners often block datacenter IPs and ASNs shared by VPNs and bots. If you need to change your IP from your residential ISP, use the Cloudflare One app, as Cloudflare IPs rarely get blocked.

What is the Cloudflare One app supposed to do, can't find anything definitive about it for Windows, thanks

It’s like a free VPN, but it routes you through Cloudflare’s network rather than some shady low rent datacenter, as Cloudflare currently powers half of the internet, so your connection to most sites is faster.

FWIW - I installed it on my iPad and PC then ran Speedtest with it and my current (paid) VPN provider.
It was markedly slower than my paid VPN client on BOTH platforms.
Also, the version I installed on Win11 (from cloud flares site) has no “exit” option and sets itself up to auto start with windows.
Thus, it runs at login and the only way to shut it down is via task mangler!
I removed it from my PC.
YMMV

I didn't like the sound of cloud flare One, now I definitely won't be installing it. Cloud flare blocks access to sites even with a VPN, IMO it's too aggressive
