This tutorial will show you how to open and close the sidebar in the Copilot on Edge, Web, and Windows 11.

Copilot is now a native XAML app with a new UI that includes a new side panel (sidebar) where you can easily start a new conversation and see your conversation history.

1 Open the copilot.microsoft.com site or Copilot app.
2 While in full view (app), perform an action below you want. (see screenshots below)
- Click/tap on the Open sidebar button.
- Click/tap on an empty area of the closed sidebar to open it.
- Click/tap on the Close sidebar button.
This option is currently only available in Microsoft Edge Insiders Canary, Beta, and Dev channels.
1 Open Microsoft Edge.
2 Click/tap on the Copilot
icon on the toolbar. (see screenshot below)3 In the Copilot pane, perform an action below you want: (see screenshots below)
- Click/tap on the More options (3 dots) button, and click/tap on My conversations to open the sidebar.
- Click/tap on the Close Sidebar arrow button.
