I'll be upgrading from my Note 20 Ultra to the S23 Ultra 512gig version in a few months. Just waiting to pay off the current phone. I could do it now but I've got other priorities, so I'll wait.

512GB is too much for a phone for me. 128GB is actually a sweet spot for me so I have a good reason to move my photos and files out of my phone before it gets too much to handle. 256GB will be the most I will get. Just my personal preference.

I've heard horror stories..., last year, some guy was hard gaming on one, whether it had a metal case or not, I don't know, but it got so hot he couldn't hold it!
Probably alright if you don't game the heck out of it, or tax it too hard! 🤷‍♂️

I am actually surprised that the 12GB of RAM only comes with the 512GB and 1TB models of S23U. My S21U is only 128GB but has 12GB of RAM.

My phone before the S21U was only 32GB and I have a 64GB micro SD in it. So, when I upgraded to S21U, 128GB is more than enough without needing an a micro-SD. I guess, 256GB for me will be overkill already but it's always nice to have extra storage.
My philosophy when it comes to phone storage is that I don't want to have a big basket and lose everything when an unforeseen event happens. I want to keep it small so I have reason to move my files and back them up (when storage is getting low) before I lose them.

I guess the 1TB storage on S23U will make up for the absence of the card slot. :-)
