That sounds pretty cool. I am not planning anything that in depth. I am just writing a program for my Raspberry Pi and so far it has proven very hard to do with my limited Python skills.

And I am too old to learn new tricks, so this may be rather interesting. :LOL:

So my WWAN card's IMEI number to register for cellular service isn't being recognized by Verizon (the card is supposed to be unlocked all carriers as stated by Quectel (card manufacture), and Lenovo).

Anyway, no one (Verizon, Quectel, Lenovo) knows what going on, and so Lenovo is sending me a brand-new replacement laptop which, per UPS, will be here Friday.

What's really interesting is that Lenovo is sending me the replacement before requiring me to send the faulty unit in first. Given the expense of the laptop ($2500), I'd have thought there's no way they'd be sending a replacement first, especially such an expensive item. Yet they are (y)

Of course, they want the faulty unit back and have given me 5-days after receipt of replacement to return or else I'll be charged the full price of the replacement. Not an issue since I can't afford two of these :-)

Say, what you will, but I'm now further impressed by Lenovo and why this is my second laptop (first being a ThinkPad Yoga X1 back in '17). I'm also impressed with their business line since their notebooks don't come with pre-installed bloatware.

Got these the other day. While normal keys on my new keyboard are perfect for me, the Shift and Space-bar keys sound clinky and metallic. - not good.. Fairly well rated by users.

Windows Won’t let me boot a Cloned SSD w/ a USB connection to PC unless it’s a win2Go.

I just wanted a way to confirm that my clone is viable.

So yesterday I purchased a SATA 6G Data Cable, SATA Power 2-In-1 Extension Cord to test a Samsung Data Migration SSD I created yesterday. It arrived today.

*Plugged into the Test Rig 2 & it worked, even the shortcut to main rig worked (only 1 I tested).

I also purchased, yesterday, but don’t receive until Monday incase I need a extension.

Edit: I probably should mention I did have to add the cloned SSD OS to the Boot Menu, I used EasyBCD 2.3 for that.

My drives are 8 stops away. I hope setting up multiple drives in Mezzmo isn't too complicated.

I've been looking for some good, yet not "break the bank" and "my wife's going to kill me for how much I spent on these", earphones. The Sennheiser HD800S might get me beaten up. 😬

So, I've been looking at these: Amazon.com. These have a built-in mic, which I probably need. These also look promising, but they're out of stock: Amazon.com.

I've also been thinking about getting a DAC, but I'm not sure I need one. I'm kind of new to this concept, so any assistance in whether I need one would be great! This is one I looked at: Amazon.com. I'm not sure I have the room for a DAC despite their footprint being so small. I run my Bose soundbar off Bluetooth. Can I switch from Bluetooth to optical easily?

Yeah, those headphones posted are well above 1K, though the HD700 are now discontinued and can be found used around $300 bucks.

I tend to be high end, so I've not looked any sub $1000-dollar DACs. That said, I know there are some really good DACs in the price range of the FiiO you chose. I also know FiiO is a highly regarded company so you're not getting a cheap item there.

I can get a pair of Sennheiser Consumer Audio HD 650 - Audiophile Hi-Res Open Back Dynamic Headphone, Titan, for $292 off Amazon Business. What's your opinion on those?

I've never owned a DAC, but it should be pretty straight forward. I would have gotten black, but that was $10 more!

Edit: I got the headphones from Drop for $40 less!

Not a bad kit for someone starting out. And the "Drop" products are pretty darn good, and especially with those headphones. BTW, the Sennheiser 600 series headphones are well regarded - Sennheiser x Massdrop HD6XX Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV

A word of warning..... DO NOT go by the initial sound of those headphones. I know there are non-believers, but the general consensus is to burn in a pair of headphones for at least a week before really judging how they sound. When I first got the HD700 phones, I hated the sound so much, I nearly sent them back. Two weeks later, I was loving them and as you see still have them. what happened? Once they burned in the harshness and thin sound they initially had went away.
