Out of Memory issues with Firestorm SecondLife Viewer for some reason

Hello All

Some reason having Out of Memory issues with Firestorm Viewer, don't understand how though, as i got 32GB of Ram, and 16GB of Video Memory, you'd think that would be enough, but i guess maybe not

Guess maybe i should've waited to do my system clean install til i found the little M.2 Kit with Magentic screwdriver to switch system drives around

If anyone is able to provide a little guidance, i'd appreciate it

**I can install Offical SecondLife viewer tomorrow and see if that one performs better if need be**

Some questions:

1. Is this the latest version of Firestorm?
2. What is your graphics detail set to?
3. How much texture memory do you have reserved?
4. Does this happen everywhere? Or only where there are a lot of avatars?
5. What is your LoD?

I am not having any issues like this with the new version of Firestorm, however, the graphics aren't as vibrant. Things look washed out.

I suspect that you have your texture settings set too high, but I am going to check on some things with mine and I'll be right back.

Also, check your draw distance in Preferences. It might be set too high. Go no higher than 64. Mine is like 15 or something.

You aren't running the 32 bit version of Firestorm by mistake, are you?

Am Running Latest Version of Firestorm Viewer--(System was clean installed not too long ago, probably less than a week or two ago, gonna try to afford 2TB Game NVMe soon and redo the config one last time i hope)

Graphic setting is Between High and Ultra (Where it was by Default)

Happened even on my not busy Home sim, on 2 sims tonight already--Home sim is not that busy at all, so i should really have plenty of memory i'd think, unelss i'm wrong

Inventory size 30,217 Elements, with 260 in Received Items area

Ok. Here is my setup as it stands. Compare it with your settings. I have zero problems and my inventory is enormous. 85,000+ elements.







Most of the settings are default, but I turned off anistropic filtering and the washed out colours went away. I dunno. I just think it looks better and the graphics aren't as slow.

My Machine should support the settings i use, no idea why this memory issue started or textures started discarding at all. Unless its related to my Samsung 990 Evo Plus Host Memory Buffer Boot drive, but Firestorm is installed on Drive 2, Samsung 990 Pro 1TB Game NVMe.

You have your graphics complexity and stuff set lower than mine are. I don't get why you are having this issue. Did it start recently?

Yes started today once eariler while i was driving around in SL, and then a 2nd time, thats when i decided to ask if anyone had any advice.

Maybe i'll reboot this PC before i sleep later, and then see how it performs tomorrow

I usually leave system on 24/7, and it does various tasks during over night hours

Onedrive backup uploads--backups of another game Game DVR Captures for some reason i save, not sure why i do sometimes lol

Sometimes Play my Relaxation audio to sleep at night to my Galaxy Buds, and give my Galaxy S25 Phone a break

Sometimes it just does system maintenance tasks, and system backup over night

Maybe thats all it will end up being, just need a reboot of system
