IMO from what I've observing here the user doesn't know what email app he's using nor understand the difference in which outlook app is which.
His screenshot indicates he is using the free outlook app included with windows. This free Outlook app replaced the old mail/calendar app. If he wants the classic full fledged version of outlook he must use Outlook365. Plain and simple. No way around it. (Note: It is very important that you do not have your email set up to send/receive mail in both versions of outlook at the same time.)

One is for 365, the other is the standard New Outlook App that comes with Windows 11

No mate I just installed Windows as usual and setup Outlook along with all the usual stuff I use as a matter of course actually I ddn't realise that the Office stuff was included until just over a year ago and yes I am a bit gungho and stupid as thats just about how much notice I take of what I am getting with any instal..

Windows is free, Microsoft 365 costs $109.00 a year and you get 1TB of cloud space if you use OneDrive. And 5 users I believe, they all get 1TB also.

Yes you are probably right but I do think it is the free version. I have now found that in Help there are instructions for blocking but there is no Junk tab on the top bar? This is just getting so convoluted and confusing as to what I can find out about what Outlook I am using and being able to setup blocking those unwanted emails which is all I want.
