The answer is in the thread at microsoft answers. Click the small icon in address bar to the left of the web address and tell it to accept clipboard pastes. After yrs of using outlook.com, for some unknown reason, I pasted a web link in the text and it pops up a message box which I had never seen and unthinkly I clicked thru that. Afterwards it accepted no pastes of text from the clipboard. Wasted an hour of my time useless web searching until I found that discussion. Question I have is why would it suddenly pop up the message about the clipboard, that seems like a malicious act on a programmers part.
