Solved Outlook Send/Receive taking way too long

Is there any way I can shorten this process? I have searched for a way to designate only certain folders for send/receive and just can not seem to get it figured out. It literally takes a few minutes to get through the send/receive process. This is with the Office 365 subscription.

You do not give us enough info to be able to help you.
What is your mail service?
Are you using IMAP or POP3?
Post some of your configuration such as :
(In Outlook, click on File, Account settings, Server settings)
(Blur out personal info)

You can choose which email account to scan for new mail in the send /receive settings.

Did you right click on the ribbon bar. There is another way, I’ll go to my PC and look.
Also, when in there, at the top of my first screenshot, under where it says customise the ribbon, and in the drop down section where it says “Choose commands from” select “All Commands“

You’re not a dunce, it’s just new to you, that is all.

That's because Antspants added it himself using the New group button.
You can either add a New tab / New group [called whatever you want] and put whatever you want into it or you can alter what is in the existing tabs & groups. It's up to you.

Follow steps 1 to 10a then click OK. It should now be in the "Home" tab as whatever name you called the group. You can move your custom group/tabs by going back into options and moving it up or down (side to side in the home tab)
