I've just done a lost data recovery on a single hard drive from a corrupt raid 1,

I've ended up with well over 100k files
That i need to go through to find my stuff, there's a lot of files that are under 1mb and a lot of file types that I can get rid of.

I'm also going to do the same recovery on the second hatd drive to see if it finds anything more, but obviously it's going to be the same sorting out which is really quite daunting.

What kind of software would help me with this process?

Can you define "sort"?

File Locator Pro (there is a free version) is good for sorting files by date, creation date and last accessed.

Do you mean raid 0? Raid 1 is a mirror and you'd have to be really unlucky and lose both disks

I've seen cases of failed RAID controllers writing corrupted data to multiple disks. It does happen :(

For sure, raid 1 doesn't protect against corruption. I'm asking since raid 0 failures are much harder to recover from rather than raid 1.
