- have you just lost page numbers appearing on the document
- have you lost the Page Number menu option
- all of the above

You are in web layout, to change it to print layout go to View Layout and look at the left corner of screen. I have also attached the screenshots.

The only solution I found then was to create a new blank Word document then copy everything from the corrupted Word document into the new one.

I have one final comment...

The OP and all of us were going around and circles for a while. While it is true the solution may have been in several posts before my #20 post the OP didn't seem to comprehend posts with just words. That is why I had screenshots in Post #20. Apparently, the OP saw that and finally understood what was being said in previous posts.

In the future when there is confusion we need to try and include illustrations and screenshots to help people understand what we are trying to say. This goes for both the OP and responders. Remember, "A picture is worth a thousand words".

We have to understand the the biggest barrier many times is communication. When that fails then people sometimes give up. Anytime we can break the communication barrier with something as simple as a picture that is a win for all of us. :-)

I try to provide clear instructions and clear illustrations, but often, because my OS is so pimped out, the OP will reply with: "That's not what my stuff looks like!" 🤷‍♂️
