Instructions for PSP 4.12...

This copy of Paintshop Pro 4.12 is portable.

Right click the ISO and choose Extract, to any folder you have created.
After the extraction...

Double click PSP.exe located here: jasc-paint-shop-pro-4.12\PSP4\EXEC ...to run the program.

I'm trying to download Paint Shop Pro 4.12 but cannot find the link for that purpose on this web site. This is confusing as I thought there'd be a link somewhere that I could click on to download the application. Instead, all I see are links that download a picture of program disks or a text file that gives instructions for installing the Paint Sho Pro application I'm seeking to acquire. Surely this forum is not a cruel tease. Hopefully someone can explain in simple terms how to find the download link Paint Shop Pro 4.12 on this Window 11 Forum web site.

I don't know why they put such big pictures of the disc. :-)

Thank you for your guidance. Luckily I was able to download the application from another source before receiving your link. And as near as I can tell that version has installed correctly. But in regard to the version I downloaded from the link you provided, you can see the error message when I tried to install it on my new Windows 11 PC. That is, "This app can't run on your PC." I have no idea why it would react that way. There's probably a logical explanation far beyond my ability to grasp. My closing observation: it's probably no surprise that from what I have seen so far, I'm much more comfortable using my earlier PSP version 3.11. Luckily, I still have that earlier version on my old Windows 10 desktop PC which I can still use, albeit with some inconvenience. Nevertheless, thanks for your help.

Read the instructions in the quote in post #2.

This version of PSP 4.12 is "portable" ...it doesn't need to be installed.

C:\Users\your account name\Desktop\New folder\jasc-paint-shop-pro-4.12\PSP4\EXEC\PSP.EXE

You could even put it on a USB stick and use it on any computer.

Have you extracted the contents of the ISO yet?

Create a folder and put the ISO in it.
Extract the entire contents.
Run PSP.exe located in \PSP4\EXEC

There is also SETUP.EXE located in PSP4\INSTALL
I haven't tested whether the installer works.
