How do you maintain your passwords?

This question is directed to everyone, but especially to those having many (perhaps 50 to 100 or more) passwords, regardless of whether you write your passwords down on a piece of paper or use your browser or have an encrypted file on your desktop or put them in the cloud or ...

I visit the sites annually if only to jot down a note 'site defunct' or 'no option to delete account' (which annoys me, if the only times I visit the site is annually since a decade) but of course also to change passwords, add 2FA as soon as an important site offers it, etc.

What do YOU do to keep your passwords current?

I use One Note so I can easily access it between mobile phone and PC.
I have like 5 patterns which I base my passwords from. And I just put dashes and 1 or 2 actual characters just to give me a hint.

I have about 150 passwords and would have all my hair pulled out by now if not for a password manager I've used for 20 years. I have it on 2 computers, my iphone and my ipad. I also use it to store notes about things such as what business needs to be taken care of when I die. My husband would be absolutely useless as he's depended on me to handle affairs for 50 years. Things change too often for me to keep running to the safety deposit box. Every time I change my master password I put it in his gun safe since that's the only info he will need to access all the info.

Automatic autofill disabled and protected by UAC to prevent passwords being stolen by webpages or extensions.
I have disabled leaking my passwords to check whether they have been leaked, the stupidest feature ever created.

I use password manager only for common stuff. Bank details, emails that can be used for recovery are saved in docx.
It is double encrypted and backed up along with 2 different 2FA apps (android/desktop) in case one gets corrupted.

What do YOU do to keep your passwords current?
You do not have to change password like ever, that myth has been debunked, I use something like Password123 on random webpages and it was never abused. Forcing people to change passwords force them to use weak passwords. Unless there have been a breach or someone tried to access the account, there is no need to. In fact it is the most common way of phishing. People get the email that there have been an incident and then they click on a fake link. But hackers do not even bother with passwords, they just steal cookies and sessions bypassing 2FA altogether. So always log out, once you finish an important session, do not just close the tab.
