This tutorial will show you how to pause and resume print jobs in the queue for your account in Windows 11.

The Print Queue Action Center app included with Windows 11 allows you to manage and see the status of items waiting to print for all or specific printers.

If needed, you can pause a specific or all print jobs in the queue on demand, and resume when ready.

Starting with Windows 11 build 26020 (Canary), Microsoft has added the ability to pause and resume print jobs in print queue for printers under Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners. This allows you to pause printing when maintenance is required for your printer such as replacing a printer cartridge. Jobs submitted are held by the spooler until the print queue is ‘un-paused’ by clicking resume in Settings.
