PC Health Check - Windows 11

Turns out that the CPU requirement isn't entirely arbitary, capricious, or profit-driven: 11 CPU Requirement. Reads like some Gen 7 Intel CPUs, and some AMD ones, may be added to the list.

Whether MS will back off on security features, I can't guess. I have the impression that the current requirements are causing more widespread anger than MS expected.

Looking at it one way, why are people upset? Win 11 looks like it won't be a major upgrade over 10. Are we all Nigel Tufnels? (I am, I guess. Mild touch of OCD.)

Intentionally slowing down phones through software is NOT the same thing as enforcing security measures, I'm sorry to say. They may stil get sued, but I don't see such a lawsuit going anywhere unless it can be proven that Microsoft is doing this maliciously.

Lol - that subtitle reminds me of my "I Hate Intel" build pics of my rig.

But at least there is a bit of clarification - and it does have to do with the capabilities of the CPU.

Now we know.
