Windows 11
5 hours ago, my pc was working fine, i had played some league and talked to friends on discord, then i shut it down to go outside, and when i came back, i turned it on and all of a sudden these windows started popping up saying Runupd.exe has failed, Update.exe has failed, Werfault.exe has failed and it showed an error 0xc0000428. More specifically, it said "C:\windows\system32\rsaenh.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error". I still have access to internet, the widgets on the right side of the taskbar are gone, no volume, some apps dont work and everything is just problematic. What should i do

Restore from a backup. But if you don't have one run a command prompt as admin and enter SFC /SCANNOW. Post the result.

I have included a readme in this archive with a couple of replacement files (rsaenh.dll): UPLOAD.EE - rsaenh.7z - Download

If it's not enough to help, there are smarter people than me here that could advise you.
Best of luck.

It doesn't sound to sw problem to me.

Does it do the POST? (it should do a short beep from the case speaker to indicate that) Can you enter the BIOS? If not, detach everything including disks and GPU (if the processor or the mobo has one, and attach the monitor to the corresponding video output), except the processor, just one RAM module and something that outputs video. If it does the POST, attach the rest of parts one by one until you see the culprit.

If it doesn't do the POST even with the minimum hw possible (if you have several RAM modules, try another), maybe these links can help.

If you haven't got a case speaker, buy one. You may have a portable one in other computers.

Did you build this yourself? If you shut it down and restart it repeatedly, after three or four starts it should go into Windows Recovery and you could try a repair or go to a command prompt and run some tests.

No it's a pre-built I got it in 2021, I'll try restarting it

You mean you did connect everything again plus the case speaker and leds, and now it's working fine? Thumbs up! :) The accumulation of apparent sw errors plus the sudden shutdown and black screen did me think about a hw failure. It's possible something got loose and you fixed it replugging everything again. The post #10 tests are usual to see if there's something wrong in Windows and to fix it, bear in mind that the dism command might get stuck a long time at 62.3%, it's normal, let it do its thing.

I once had difficulties booting up a computer where I had replaced the processor and the cooler. I was hearing several beeps on each attempt. I fixed it replugging the RAM. What I think it happened is that the cooler required such a lot of force that it bent the mobo and some module got loose. In another occasion I hit a desktop accidentally while off, and on boot up I noticed there wasn't Ethernet (I had to replug the RJ45) and that a secondary disk was being recognized but it wasn't usable (I shut down and replugged it). The former problems were severe (comparable to yours) and the latter ones were light, but you never know what will do a bad electrical contact.

The problem is fixed, after rebooting for about a dozen times and getting nowhere, I decided to reset the pc, but when i went in settings to reset, I saw the option to reinstall and repair my Windows Update so I said Why not and just installed the update, it took about an hour, now everything works like before
