Solved Phone connection and sharing

Sorry but I cannot answer many Samsung phone questions. I just posted those facts that I happened to recall. I didn't combine mine, I just recalled the option as being presented.
I tried to buy another Samsung phone last year or the year before but they kept sending me faulty ones so I gave up with them.
[I monitored the frequency of their WiFi hotspots and they were unable to change to 5GHz despite the indicator in the phone saying they had.]

I agree with this. The UI is a tad inconvenient and slow/sluggish even.

What comes to files. I just plug in my phone via USB and copy over pretty much the whole file system. It's fast and then I can clean up and organize everything on my computer. For those files I know I don't need on my phone anymore I delete after copy.

Another thing I tend to do is do a full backup of my phone files and settings using Samsung Smart Switch on PC. I know the name is a bit confusing, as it's intended for moving stuff to new devices, but it works great as a backup tool.

Not a fix for phone link but a workaround. My husband never could get his to work. I suggested uploading the files to the cloud and then downloading them from the cloud to his computer. It works for him, but he doesn't take a lot of photos.
