I've never owned an iPhone and I'm pretty sure I never will. I like a decent phone, but typically I buy the base model of the Samsung flagship phones, my current phone is the Galaxy S25. I paid $600 for the S25 when they first came out, I usually keep a phone for around four years. The only major failure of a Samsung phone was my wife's S8, and that was after almost 8 years. She had the battery replaced by a local shop, and I'm pretty sure that's why the touch screen sensing was compromised and eventually failed a few months later. I keep them until the battery is unable to last the day and then upgrade since you have to crack the case to replace the battery.
