Phone Link can't see iPhone responses

I've been using Phone Link to talk to a remote iPhone by typing in the Phone Link screen on my PC and following what the remote sees on my own iPhone. I'm getting the impression that Apple's "Walled Garden" won't let the remote user's replies appear in my Phone Link window.
Is there a way to see both sides of a PC to iPhone conversation within the Phone Link screen? The remote iPhone sees both sides of the conversation, but my Phone Link window is one-way.

Hi there. Check these settings

Press Win + I to open the Settings app.
In the System tab, click on Notifications.
Enable the toggle next to Notifications.
Scroll down to the Notifications from apps and other senders section and select the Phone Link app.
Enable the toggle under Notifications.
Check the boxes that read Show notification banners and Show notifications in notification center.

Open the Phone Link app
Click the gear icon in the top right corner to visit the settings menu.
Switch to the Features tab.
Under Notifications, enable all the toggles.

I found Intel Unison better with my iPhone than MS phonelink.
